Home, without the hassle.
Looking after a home takes more than doing the chores. It takes remembering, arranging, comparing, agreeing and following up. home‑like is our attempt to take that organising load off the person who lives there.
Home should be where you rest — not another job you manage in the evenings.
The problem
Most of the work a home creates never reaches the to‑do list.
The tasks themselves are rarely the hard part. The hard part is everything around them: noticing that something needs doing, deciding when, finding someone reliable, agreeing a time that fits, being home to open the door, checking it was actually done, and remembering it again in six months.
- The dripping tap you have known about for three weeks, because looking for a plumber needs a free evening.
- The filter, the boiler check, the seasonal clean — all of them due at some point you cannot quite recall.
- Four different people for four different things, and no single place where any of it is written down.
- The quiet negotiation at home about whose turn it is to deal with it this time.
None of this is dramatic. It is simply steady mental background noise — and it is usually loudest for whoever ends up holding the whole picture in their head.

We are designing for less coordination, not more options.
home‑like is being built around a simple test: after we are involved, is there less for you to hold in mind than before? These are the principles we are working from.

You describe what your home needs in plain words, once. Working out who does what, and in which order, is our side of the arrangement — not a project you have to manage.

Nothing worth remembering should depend on memory
Recurring care — the seasonal, the annual, the easily forgotten — should arrive on its own rhythm, so keeping the home in good shape is not a test of anyone's attention.

Quiet by default, clear when it matters
No stream of updates to keep up with. You hear from us when something genuinely needs a decision, and you can always see plainly what has been done and what comes next.

We want to understand one home well over time — how it is used, what it needs, what has already been fixed — rather than treat every request as an unrelated job.
Where we are
Early, and honest about it.
This page is the beginning of the project, not a catalogue. We are still deciding which parts of looking after a home we can take on well, and on what terms — so we would rather describe the idea clearly than promise a service we have not finished designing.
What shapes it next is conversation: hearing which household responsibilities actually weigh on people, and which ones they would hand over tomorrow if they could.
